EL Rey Farms started when Rey and Elsie Martinez passed their chile business over to their daughter and son in law. A few years back we took over the roasting business. We have 24 roasting machines to roast your chile, we are only using 6 machines this year. This year will be completely different than how we did it in the past. We start taking orders for the chile on July 15th. All orders will be taken on lineYou call and place your order for what type of chile you want, and which pickup date you want. Starting in 2011 you can order your chile online, at elreyonline.com. We have Mild, Medium, Hot, Xhot, XXhot, Yellow or Jalapeno chiles. You choose what date you want to pick up, and time frame for pickup, and we will set a pick up time and email you your pick up slip, that you bring with you for pick up. This year the pick up times will be strictly enforced. You pick up the chile in Whittier this year. Order your chile early as the chile will sell out fast this year. The Double X, Yellow and Jalapeno are special order chiles.
