Rey Martinez

Rey and Elsie Martinez started Rey EL farms back in 1970. It all started with them bringing a few sacks of chile for some friends and relatives here in California. Then more friends wanted some chile. Then more friends. What started with bringing a few sacks for some friends turned into bringing 4 semi truck loads of Hatch chile here to California. Our family has over 100 acres of land in the Hatch valley of New Mexico. Rey and Elsie grew up in the Hatch valley of New Mexico. Rey worked at Northrop for 35 years. Rey passed away in 2009, he was a great man. He had a lot of friends. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
